Here is a foot pedal I made for the Airco:
It was made from parts of old shelving. The string goes back to a spring, then wraps a few times ariound the potentiometer shaft. It then is fed through a hole drilled through the shaft and then a few more times around the shaft and up to the pedal. The string has been replaced with dial cord. There is also a small microswitch that the pedal presses down when it is all the way down.
Has since been painted black. I did find a Miller pedal to work with the Airco. This one will be used on the DIY welder instead.
